National Immunization Month

Hope Out Loud strives to improve the health of all humanity and has been providing families all over the world with health packets since 2005. Although HOL does everything within our capacity to provide clean water and improve sanitation conditions  around the world,  the lack of immunizations in developing nations continues to be a concern. According to the  World Health Organization “immunization averts an estimated 2 to 3 million deaths every year from diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and measles.” For more than 50 years, immunizations have saved more than a billion lives and prevented countless illnesses. The significance around immunization has become so large that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  has established August as National Immunization Month. This month is aimed to not only inform the general public on the importance of immunizations but to also bring awareness to the hundreds of thousands of people around the world that are lacking these basic yet essential life-giving resources. This month we encourage you to learn more about the importance of immunizations and the rally with us and the CDC in efforts to provide health to everyone.
