Water is More than just Refreshing, It is Necessary

With summer just around the corner and the days getting hotter the thought of a refreshing, cold water comes to mind more and more. The sensation of the cool liquid quenching our thirst seems almost like a dream come true. Although water is easily accessible to us this cannot be said for many around the world. According to DoSomething.org, a nonprofit which launches worldwide philanthropic causes, over 884 million people in the world lack access to safe water supplies. From these 884 million individuals more than 840,000 die each year from water related diseases. Clean, safe drinkable water can be a gold mine for many individuals in third world countries. In many developing countries, millions of women spend several hours a day collecting water for distant from often polluted sources.

Hope Out Loud believes that everyone should be able to access clean and drinkable water, especially the youth. In efforts to assure that every child is able to access clean water Hope Out Loud has partnered with local organizations, such as Behavioral Health Works, to bring wells to various schools around third world countries. Now no child has to go to school fearing thirst and satisfying it with sicking, polluted water. Yet our journey of providing clean, drinkable water to various villages around the world has just begun. With the helping hand of a few we can make the world a place filled with clean, refreshing water that all can enjoy this summer.
