Education Around the World

With summer break quickly coming to an end, back to school sessions will soon take over. As all the kiddos get their backpacks ready for another academic year, Hope Out Loud would like to bring awareness to the global issue on education.

According to the United Nations Educational, Specific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), 61 million primary school-age children were not enrolled in school in 2010. Of these children, 47% were never expected to enter school, 26% attended school but left, and the remaining 27% are expected to attend school in the future. Not to mention that children living in a rural environment are twice as likely to be out of school than urban children.

Hope Out Loud aims to assist families all around the world with health, h20, and opportunities of hope yet our current primary focus is in families in third world countries in Africa and Asia. Education in these two continents is a large concern and education efforts are desperately needed. In the sub-Saharan, 11.07 million children leave school before completing their primary education. While in South and West Asia that number reaches 13.54 million.

So as your child gets prepared to ace this school year, we ask that you think of those around the world lacking education. Unable to pursue their educational dreams and advance in what we have at our finger tips. We ask that you help in providing them with a brighter knowledge filled with knowledge.
